510 points what rotations are available and recommended
510 points go to houma if you can
510 points Pretty much everything is available except psych. As far as what rotations are recommended? None. Go to Houma as the above poster said. I learned nothing in the short time I was there at Wyckoff. By the way, it's a zoo!!
510 points after all my cores there i stand by what i said i cant imagine a worse hospital than this all though people say Jackson park is worse but to be honest at least they dont make you do scut work. .....if you want to pay 9 grand a semester to be a secretary come to wyckoff
510 points I can tell from personal experience that Wyckoff is a decent hospital where you see tons of cases.
Any rotation that you do depends on you and the effort you are willing to put. I wanted to see as many cases so i volunteered for surgeries and seeing patients and got a great experience. I know many others that hated it b/c they wanted to be spoon fed.
I did rotations in Wyckoff and Houma and no matter where you go you will get the secretarial work as FM79 was saying.
510 points hey guys, im starting IM at wyckoff on May 23, looking for an apartment and a roomate, get back to me if you are looking as well, thanks!
510 points hey Cdr, can you private message me your email address, for some reason it wont let me reply to your private. Thanks.
510 points Hi I just finished surgery at Wyckoff a little while ago. It was a great learning experience. Like any other rotation and any other hospital, it really matters into how much work you are willing to put into the rotation. The surgery rotation at Wyckoff always kept me busy and I scrubbed into numerous surgeries and got a hands on experience doing several procedures on the floors, like NG Tube insertion, central lines, PICC lines etc. I don't know how surgery is at other hospitals but it was a great experience at Wyckoff and I would totally recommend it to anyone who is interested. Thanks!

510 points IMO peds and ob/gyn are the two best here. I'm currently in peds and am having a lot of fun. I've heard that ob/gyn is rough but you do learn a lot. other than that i heard its hit and miss.
