nice to see ppl from nj goin down to MUA...representing our state ..altho there hasn't been any shortage of jerseyans there...
good luck guys, it's a great experience and some awesome teachers...

the island is one of the safer islands, really no crimes as the country, tho poor has a high literacy rate...but life is DEFINITELY not like NJ or even in FL i would think...after being born in NY and raised in NJ my whole life, it def was a shock even tho i kinda expected the worst cuz i heard it was like 'back home' meaning pakistan...but it's definitely different...no fast food, no malls..just restaurants, a few grocery stores and alot of studying ...oh and the people, most of them, are very nice...

let me know if u have other questions...

PK or not PK?

it's 115 (voltage is lil diff, but diff cycles also?), so no need for a converter.
i'm takin a couple of 2-prong 'adapters' (u plug in a 3prong and it becomes a 2prong) just in case.

madzbaby, i wasn't told rawlins (the louder & further dorm) was so far away, so i was more annoyed at that, but my fault for not researching it personally. as for our roomy & location, i've never had a roomy before so it's a big 22!

rifster, am wonderin what part of PK were u talking about? it's a big place, and diff areas have diff vibes. the places i went to there were regular sun-bleached cities (tho very sandy).
I'm picturing more of an okinawan setting, tho no sushi

1 bedroom available in a 3-bedroom house...

hey,

i'm 23/m from new jersey.......i've been here in nevis for the pre-med program and i'll be starting med 1 in may 2006. i have a 3 bedroom house and i have 1 bedroom available for any new students who don't want to live in the dorms or want something cheap. it's only $270 dollars a month plus utilities..........the dorm is 1400 for the 3 months and you have to share with a room-mate. you will get a separate bedroom here in a house that is 5 minutes away from the school.......it's closer than the dorms.......

if anybody is interested, please PM me.......asap!!
