Moonlighting/Overnight floater Assistance

Thinking ahead, as of my knowledge, the following states will allow you to get your license with less than 3 yrs of your residency. (FMGs ONLY)

Arkansas 3 yrs UNLESS enrolled in Univ. of AR Training program
California 2 yrs
Connecticut 2 yrs
Florida 2 yrs
Georgia 1-3 yrs (DON’T KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS???)
Illinois 2 yrs
Indiana 2 yrs
Iowa 2 yrs
Kentucky 2 yrs
Maryland 2 yrs
Massachusetts 2 yrs
Michigan 2 yrs
Mississippi 1-3 yrs (DON’T KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS???)
New Hampshire 2 yrs
New Mexico 2 yrs
Ohio 2 yrs
Oklahoma 2 yrs
Utah 2 yrs
Washington 2 yrs
Wisconsin 1 yr
Wyoming 2 yrs

Based on this fact, I would like to know your opinion on how to go about doing moonlighting/Overnight Floater. Which states or programs (if you any know) has great moonlighting/Overnight floater assistance available??

When you start looking for a residency program on Freida make sure check on whether the program allows moonlighting. There are some that do not. http://www.ama-assn.org/ama/pub/category/2997.html

don't you get licensed after completing your internship and passing step3? Also can you moon light as a family practice doc if you're not in family practice residency? I have a family friend who owns a few family practices he's not a Doc but he hires docs to work in his offices, he pays very well. once licensed would i be able to go work for him on the weekends even though i am not going to be a GP?

do you mind sharing which state he lives in? This is something I would be interested in since the state I am going to do Residency in doesn't allow Moonlighting until the 3rd year for FMG's.

he's in nj but I don't think he really needs docs. he would give me a job there part time since i am a family friend, also you have to speak russian since most of the pts are russians.

But I was just posting to see if we're aloud to moonlight as a gp even though we completed a different specialty. Also i don't think nj allows you to moonlight till 3rd year as well.
