Thread: Information about the university ....

hey to all,
I am looking forward to transfer to lublin medical school in the 6th year program and i wanted to know informations from who is studying there now ...
how is the university ?? is it good ??
Which difects it have ?? how is exams there ... are they oral or written ??
and how much is the difficulty in general ??

Since you're looking into the 6yr I'll assume you're a high school grad with limited college experience. All the questions you have asked have been answered a billion times over on this forum. There is a two-page thread right below yours (as of now) that unless i'm mistaken answers most of your questions all by itself. Starting threads on multiple school websites asking rudimentary questions will not provide you with the best answers, and frankly makes you look kinda lazy (accentuated by the bad grammar ^_~). Having said that;
The school's okay. Lots of self learning... really depends what you want out of it.
Defects inc the fact that some of the profs suck at english, or just don't want to teach beyond reading off slides. They are apparently also interpreting all the hours required for each subject (as stated by the EU or US boards) as the max as well as min, so some of our classes go really fast. Exams are written unless you need retakes, with most even being MC.
In the 6yr, not sure as to difficulty, though I hear the first couple years are a breeze, followed by a plunge into the 'real' med classes. This is med school though, so you shouldn't be looking for the easier choices. The easier a school, the more self-study you'll need to pass the USMLE.

Elssha : first of all, i am asking here information and not putting a thread so you can analize what i am and what not i am ...
the second thing, you seem have a lot of self confidence in yourself so why dont you just answer without criticating the persons that are writing here or simply dont answer if you cant be helpful ...
if you need to criticate persons so go to some other threads and write there what do you think of each one of them ok ???
about my english, its not my mother language so its not perfect and also this is not your buisness, niether about my choices if they are easy o difficult, the next time i would like not to have answers if they would be like yours, useless and full of critics ....

Excuse me but the only people who really answer questions here are me and elssha you should be thankful that we put in our valuable medical school time to give valuable information about this school so please dont be rude!

Before i came here i made contacts through facebook no one ever gave me info about this school through valuemd. This is why we try to write our full experiences and whats really happening here,honestly just look at our posts and you should find everything you need to know.

to express his opinion about me and about my english skills is not something acceptble to me, i rispect people in my life and pretend that others do the same, so before criticating someone u should first know him, thats all, if not its better not to answer the posts ...

Wow you sound child-like and immature. Elssha was not criticizing or personally attacking you at all - and you should be grateful that there are people who are on this forum trying to help you out. As far as your language problems, I think you're just using it as an excuse for your laziness. if you spent just a few hours reading through the forum and seeing what other people have posted, it would not have been necessary for you to make this thread.

If you're not willing to put in the time to learn the language, or the time to look through the forum, you'll have a hell of a time later on when you get to your clinical years. Believe me, when you go into your clerkships or residency, the attendings aren't going to care about your English skills. If they can't understand you or you can't understand them, they'll express their opinions about you and will not care about hurting your feelings or your language skills. So once again, if you want to be productive and have a meaningful time on this forum, make the effort time read what others have written and spend some time properly learning the language.

but it sounds that there are here more than one person that have really problems, i dont know what you are doing here exactly ??
getting on other the critics your teachers at school give to you or what ??
and who are you to talk about my skills and laziness, you dont even know me, so please if you have usefull answers then answer if not, i would appreciate your non intervention

about my english skills, i can worry to improve them by myself ...
the question i have done here was asking about the university and not discussing my english skills or the fact that i am lazy or not ...
for someone who is new on this forum like me, you could answer simply by telling me that there were other posts answering my questions ...
no one have talked about my problems with language i can write and understand well english, even if its my 4th language so, again my language skills is not a problem that i have to discuss here ...
if you can answer my thread then answer it, this is the point, and who have something to advice me, i will accept it without problems, but i dont like to recieve critics or analysis about how i am and how not i am from the first person i meet here ...

Allow me to be of some help.
First of all, I've not attended the Lublin school; it probably doesn't matter which school in Poland you choose, they are all the same.
I visited Lublin once. A nice East European town with friendly people. If you are nice to them, they will reciprocate. The same goes with the school's teachers (who go by different ranks, like docent, etc.) Be friendly, study the best that you can, arrange for clinical rotations in the US (or UK for that matter), try to benefit from them as much as possible, and you will be on the road to success.
