Thread: Location Location Location

Hi all!
I'm starting in fall 10. I do realize that I am way ahead of myslef, but I would like to know the exact locations of where the classes are held - in earlier posts someone mentioned Chodzki is where most of the classes will be held - what's the exact address? Also there was another location somewhere close to their hospital - anyone know the address there? Are any classes held at the Aleje Raclawickie location or is that just an administrative building?
The reason for my question is that I wanted to know more or less what location would be optimal for an apartment. Any suggestions? Price, in my case, does play a huge role, at the same time, I'm not willing to live in a dump. I do have a potential room mate. Any advice?
Are the apartments furnished in any way? and where did you guys look (net, paper, personal reference??? ) for them?

I recommend living in prusa its right next to all the campuses. ranges from 350-500 dollars a month. Chodzki is not bad either, also close to the biochem building. If you want to find a place im afraid the best way to do it is to find it when you get here, Hmi should also try to help you out when you arrive in Lublin, they will give you a few choices you might get a decent place at prusa where you will have some roomates but of course have your own room which are pretty spacious with hardwood floors and good heaters. Theres also places at orgonova but i dont know much about them, if i were you i would call hmi and talk to them they can help you out more. ill try to also find some contacts and email you.

click on either of the pulsating dots to get a zoom with pins where the buildings are. Ignore the lone pin at the bottom... from what i understand the only thing going on there is psych rotations (if you choose to do them in PL)
The ones you need to look for (at least for 1st sem) between the two close together are
collegium anatomicum
collegium universum
collegium medicum
collegium novum
PSK 1

The dorms/apartments they put most ppl in are to the south of anatomicum, which places them closer to medicum and uniwersum than if they were on chocki. Also, since you asked, there are actually 4 or 5 hospitals that the school has affiliation with, including a children's hospital. First aid meets in PSK1, but I think by the end we'll get classes in one or two other hospitals as well.
