Hi!
i have been admitted to the first year of 6 yr english programme but m supposed to take the pre course and pass the exam in order to enter the first year..
does anybody know how hard the exam is? its going to be physics, chemistry n biology.. i hardly know any physics.. and m really worried..
incase i fail.. m gonna lose a whole year.. not sure if i shud take the risk!

have you been admitted to the US or EU section, from your post I assume the latter. Best advice would be to study as much as possible before hand on your own and see what you can find out from official sources (depending on what your other options look like). I know there were similar placement tests in my undergrad (to see which lvl chem you should start at, math, etc).
If you're already in I'd assume it would be a similar placement issue vs something that would hold you back. Perhaps you'd have to take a diff course where they give you more hours of the subject but start with more basic concepts (and finish around the same place as those who passed).

well.. m in EU section.. and its like.. the pre course is starting on the 10th of September and would end on the 30th of Septemeber with a final exam..and If I pass that exam only then I can be admittied to the first year starting on the 1st of october..
they say its only the basics..bio, chem n physics.. but i am still a bit worried!.. anybody been in this situation?

That does sound like those placement tests, if a bit retroactive (put you in the prep first, test later vs test than see if you need the prep). If you're especially weak in an area, I'd say study it beforehand, then just be sure you understand whatever they teach.
Like they said, it shouldn't be hard, specially if you're entering the 6-year program. I know the people they accept into the 4-year (who have already had chem and phys and so on) aren't exactly the best of the best... so you should do fine.
