Thread: Books

Hi,
I was wondering, how often does the school change books (update to new ed's) and what the situation is like with buying books from older students. Are the selected texts good and come in useful?
I'm in the UC system, where a 4-yr old book is already assumed to be on it's last leg (much to the woe of ppl stuck not being able to sell it back after taking a class), so I might have a skewed view of textbook age, but I had to read the listing 3x before i accepted that the neuro book was from 2000. Thanks

4-yr, actually, so physio (IIRC) is a first semester class.
Also, what does it mean by 'Pass' (or 'Pass with Grade') as opposed to 'exam with grade' ? I can't imagine them simply saying "yup, you showed up enough, you're done with this class"
