Thread: Shipping to Lodz

I just checked on prices to ship a 25Lbs. box to Lodz Poland and I was schocked 326.00 USD to get it there in a week, and for a mere 61.00 USD it will get there in 6-8 weeeks ( if I am lucky ) So for an extra $140.00 I can take an extra 70Lbs. bag with me on the airline. I guess I never realized books weighed so darn much Just wanted to let you all know if you were planing on shipping things to Lodz check on the prices and be prepared for sticker shock Doesn't look good for care packages being shipped to us

I'd recommend taking the books with you. Things have a way of getting lost in the postal system in the region. The other alternative, using a courier like DHL is cost-prohibitive.

Also, check for the possibility of having to pay/avoid customs...

Oh I planned on taking my books with me I wouldn't trust to mail them, The package I was going to send was personal items, but I will be taking everything with me.
