Please post any issues or concerns you have about the school. To the hcb dude...I know your issues and where you stand so please, don't bother posting. I'm looking for other people. If you have any issues with the school or town or any issues with AIM people, please post here.
Let's see where to begin...I know students are doing roations in the UK for sure...I never heard of students doing US rotations...that's news to me....but that's ok I guess u can afford the 650/week fee(which by the way some med schools in the caribbean and Poland charge less)...As for the psych rotation being six weeks, you're right they fixed that only this past year but since u're a newbie ill let u slide on that...that quote when I wrote it referred to a medical class when I was there and you were NOT there...as for all4uismile, i know for a FACT in personal hand experience of this outrageous charges...u'retalking as if this is some crap that is being made up and that it's surreal to you...I know of several people including the taiwanese and european students who were charged for missed classes whether excused OR unexcused...im reiterating what amiodarone wrote in their first piece about AIM that they have written well in depth about MUL...and as for the receipts go that's people's peronal property that even i cannot have and/or show...well im glad u like it at MUL all4uismle....I know several of the students at MUL who say how badly people have failed the biophysics exam and other exams but for now more particularly the biophyics exam cause that's an exam many students at MUL fear with the wonderful professor C(which he is and a tough strict man that is very fair to his students)...and some who have failed even paying 250 euro committee fee to pay for the fourth time so that they dont wind up retaking the course...I know several students who have repeated the whole biophysics course 3 times even after failing the committee exams...guess money talks when brains don't matter...good luck finding those students from MUL doing residencies and u maybe right Harriott Crum (sounds like a crumby name to me or maybe you got it confused with harriet tubman); I may or may not be going to medical school anywhere...and please harriett (your name written on purpose) you don't know me...your name sounds weird; you have sort of a ladies name to your screenname but then you wrote to me "dude"...strangeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
thank you for the post!
There were only 2 students who had to take the Biophysics course 3 times, and they were under threat of being thrown out. In the end, one passed the committee exam, while the other did not. I believe he was asked to leave, but I'm not sure. I justk now he's not here anymore.
Things have gotten a lot better in the past few years. I've been here for 3 now. I have several friends that will gradaute this year from the 4 year program.
Current issues: I agree, I don't know anyone who's done rotations back in the US. AIM is ridiculously hard to get hold of if you have issues. This year the school is making us pay dorm fees seperatly and that's a huge pain in the ***. I have to take out the excess loan payment from IMG in dollars, have it exchanged at a Kontor (because i'll get a better rate they said), then go back to the same bank to deposite it. I don't know about you, but I feel really uncomfortable walking around with that much cash on hand.
I just completed 1st yr and most of us did very well in the Biophysics and all the other class. As far as I know if u come in with an attitude to do well you will do fine. I know one student who finished and one who is about to finish their rotation in the US. They were all green book rotations and I bet most schools will not tell you that. If you want just blue book rotations you will get them anywhere, but u may have problems in some states. Lots of these bitter people, posting things on here, who probably failed out have a problem moving on. Take their post with a grain of salt. Thanks
AND IT IS A LIE!!!!!!!! WE DO NOT GET CHARGED FOR MISSED CLASSES!!!!!
At the beginning of every class we are given a schedule informing us how many classes we can miss with and without tangible reason like a doctors note. Most classes are 10% (these are mostly labs). Some lectures do not even have attendance.
The problem is that if you miss more than the 10%, you fail the class.
But I do not see why you should miss classes if you do not have a tangible reason. This is medical school. I know there are days that u just donít feel like attending, we hope that it is not more than 10%, if it is you may have a problem being a doctor and waking up to go see patients. We students like to complain but we should know that we are being trained to be good doctors this is not undergrad and if you are paying all this money to skip classes.....well it is up to you.
well said....many people just complain and complain they should be lucky enough to be at a Medical School
Hey guys I am so glad some one is finally posting something on this forum about Lodz. I am waiting for my phone interview. I have investigated every School listed on Value MD, and surprise surprise, I am yet to find one school that does not have detractors. So I say more power to those who hang in there and get it done, anywhere...
Thank you guys for sharing about Lodz.
Will see you soon...
