honestly i do not know. as far as i have heard on acceptance is that it is very easy to get in but harder to stay in . i do not know anyone that got denied but yet i don't know many people that got acceptend since they only accept no more than 100 (?) people which are from aound the world.

have you applied at any other schools?

Did this school ask for MCAT scores?

If so, what did you score?

I specifically applied to schools that did not require MCAT scores. I just finished a kick *** Eastern Medical program and wanted schools who were looking for merit rather than more exam scores. I was tired of testing.
I was accepted to AUA, KMC, and conditionally to Palacky, CZ if I could go pass their entrance exam. Again, the last thing I wanted to do was to take another science exam, so I did not.
Lodz is supposed to be an amazing program, and I guess it is based on "weeding out" those who don't really belong.

no, many schools abroad do not require MCAT scores some just have an entrance exam instead that you have to take. But, of course, it is a plus if you take them.

yeah i checked all those schools and and eventually narrowed it down to Lodz, but yet i did also apply to affiliated Hope Medical Instutute, wich are Selisia, Lublin, and Pomeranian but Hope never returned my calls or emails and they seem very disorganized, i did not like this specially since i am investing MY money with them and being an American i do not have the option to apply to the schools directly. On top of that I have researched and found many same thoughts on this school as i have. Lodz i really did not find many negative things and they have been very punctual with replying to my calls and emails. they seem very professional and "Real". what made me really make my desicion easy is the clinical options, especially since i want to come back to America i think it is great that i have many options in America, and now the UK, Canada, or even stay in Poland if i like it. I could not find any other schools in Europe that do clinicals in America and it is very important that you try to do clinicals where ever you want to do your residency or live.

I totally agree. With all of the research I've done and all of the forums I've read, Lodz just seems the best choice. Now... to decide if I'll take the plunge....

Trust me i know what you mean...only you can make this choice, but do you really see it as a plunge. i have always wanted to travel and always was scared i wouldn't with my career path that i wanted (being a doctor), but now that i have the option in my face i jumped on it, at first when i found out i got in i was nervous and scared cause now i really am going, but many of my friends supported me and i realized, that when you take risk or make big moves, like this, it is how you become successfull. cause people, like us, are willing to try (much) different things. i see it as how can i go wrong. i have always been fascinated with culture and traveling. When ever i meet someone from abroad i always pick their brain, why they came here and if they regret it. They always answer the same way, they say they were scared at first but very happy they took the leap or plunge (as you call it lol). i guess it really depends on the person you are and how important some things are to you. what options do you have? where do you want to eventually practice? it seems from the school you listed that no matter what you will leave the country, right? well where do you think you will be happy at? have you been to any of the areas?

this decision, i admit, has been somewhat easier on me then most people, mainly because i have some family over there (Bulgaria) and my father is from there, so he has advised me about all the areas. He is going to go there first with me to help me get settled. i have a pretty settled life in America. i have my own place, good job and a dog so i will be selling everything and sending my dog with me over there, therefore i refuse to live in a dorm, especially for the price apartments are over there.
