I can't speak about the medschool, but I can speak a little about the town. I figured I'd be a little bit of negative. I really didn't enjoy Gdansk much at all. There was the one little nice area but outside of that it just seemed like tons of other towns I've been to. When I got to the hotel (very nice by the way..great showers) the only thing that went through my head was the eurotrip quote from the guy in bratislava. "Good thing you came in the summer, because in the winter it can be VERRRRY depressing" or whatever it was. A sunny day there made all the difference but I really didn't see the beauty like in Krakow. I know this is kind of a touristic view but if you are really seasonly affected with depression then it could be a bad thing to go there...but then if you have SAD then there aren't TOO many places you could go in europe with english speaking programs and carrib would be the next choice.lol
