WHen i call them i never seem to get straight answers...the only thing they say is that MUA is a foreign school. i believe so that rest that are on other island!!!!!!!! this is getting to be so annoying!
Because it's too new and hasn't been recognized by the U.S. Dept. of Education and probably won't be for another 20 years.

Congrats too all of you for starting Premed in Jan'06!!! I am a prospective MUA candidate however, for 2 semesters later in Sept 06.

I am simply wondering if someone can shed some light on how hard it really was to get in...I understand it depends upon marks/Gpa/other factors...But is it really a cut throat competition?? I am expecting my GPA by end of april 06 to be between 2.7 - 3.0...All non science ofcourse as the Gardner suggested.. Kindly advise!!!

Once again!! Good luck to all of you and Congratulations!!!

Thanks for your response..Actually, I am in toronto, canada...I am currently living by myself and living here is already so expensive...So i figured, i'd be better off doing premed there. Just some other aspects too which make me think about premed there.

Just wondering if anyone had any particular difficulties in application process for premed admission??? Did everyone have a volunteer experience??? Any responses will help me.

Thanks

i really dont think you need volunteer experience toget into pre-med...
Heck i got into Basic Science without any hospital work.... so you can see, it should not be a problem...

JUST APPLY EARLY AND APPLY INTO MORE THAN JUST ONE SCHOOL...

I am 20 and considering a shift of carreer. I am from Jamaica. I'm thinking about doing the pre-med program at MUA. Can any one give me some advice as to the application process?
Thank you.

Hey Guys, I just got accepted to MUA and I'm really excited, nervous, and sad all at once. I'm really glad to see a site like this so I can meet other Jan '06 classmates. I'm 22 and from New Jersey. So far I see that Kat, Discrhythmia, Mayuri, Tony, Shrabee Punjabi, and Pavani are Pre-Med Jan '06 - really nice to meet you guys . Seems like I'm not the only one making a shift in plans towards Med school which makes me feel more comfortable with this whole thing. Anyhow, now I hafta figure out housing, plane tickets, books, packing, etc. Ne advice or comments?

- Ancy
