do most people get health insurance while studying in Nevis, and is it absolutely required before matriculation?

Hi,

I believe there is a certain kind of health insurance (i.e. for emergency med evacuation) which is mandatory and included in your payments to the school. However, there is a separate type of health insurace (i.e. covers medical expenses) that you need to get on your own. This type I believe is not required but you will have to sign a waiver form stating that in the event that you have a situation requiring medical assistance, the school is not responsible. Could someone confirm this for me?
