I am coming on nevis for may 05 samester. Arrival date is not a problem but to choose a departure date from nevis when the samester end is a bit confusing. According to the academic calendar, reading date and final exam perioud is august 10-12, 2005. Means its only three days for the study perioud and exams; its means afetr the 12th there are no exams or all the finals held one after another with no gap at all. Does any one have any experience of how its happened and whats a right date to pick for a return flight, without being missing any thing?

might be cheaper to wait to by the return ..
and then buy a roundtrip ticket at that time..

example roundtrip
Nevis--home (mid august)
home--Nevis(end august/beg sept)


will be cheaper than buying the return ticket with ur flight TO nevis and then waiting 4 mths for the return date..

usually tickets are cheaper if travel finished within 30 days.. which is perfect for buying roundtrip tickets for breaks...

someone on the island will have to help u with the exam dates and what is the earliest u can actually leave ... or alternatively if no one responds call the school...

I agree....buy a one way ticket for now to Nevis...and then if you want a trip back.... buy a round tickets.......and yes they are cheaper if the trip is less then 15 days.....and if you want a cheaper deal try http://www.cheaptickets.com .....and try to book a ticket from NY, LGA airport........while you are at Nevis keep on checking the prices to get an idea...and you might get lucky......hope this helps,

August 11th 2005 (thursday) is our final exam date. We have all our exams on the same day (a grueling 8 hour marathon!). So the earliest you can leave is August 12th, which is a friday. We don't have any exams on that day.

majority of my friends and i all flew in with one way tickets..
friends that started couple of semesters ago did the same thing...
didnt have any problems at all

also other option would be.. cuz sometimes one way tickets are expensive..
to buy a return a week or 2 weeks later than ur arrival to get a cheaper fare... and just dont use the return ticket at that time... and bu a new set for break
