Lost45, as per my research from college's website, this forum and by calling to gardner office. You got to have 60 credits for Pre-med, and I think you can still apply to a future Pre-med term before which you can have all of your required 60 credits and you may get in subject to completion of your credit .....As far as GPA,, I have seen people who got in with with 2.8...

it went very well...they covered a lot of the same questions posted in this thread and they told me to expect something to be emailed...i have only heard of them emailing acceptance letters since there isnt much time between now and when the first tuition payment is due...they said the liked the grades (3.0) i had all of the pre reqs and i had a nice personal statement and some clinical experience...
i personally was very nervous and didnt think my stats were good enough...but if someone has comparable stats u can def get in...i also found out that they are expecting a decision from the ny board in 4-6 weeks....if anyone has any questions u guys can pm me...although i havent received the email i as of right now...i am confident that the interview went well...they really talked about paying the tuition on time and what to do and who to contact to get more info on what to bring to the island and they consistently said that i had excellent answers.... one piece of advice...just make sure that you have a nicely articulated answer for each of their questions...dont write anything before the interview because it will seem rehearsed...just relax i was sharing a few laughs with the two interviewers they were laid back and made me feel comfortable... good luck to everyone and hopefully i can give u guys some good news soon... |

thanks...its pretty easy to have clinical experience in some form...so it may seem to the interviewer that you did not take much initiative on your own...just make sure you have a good reason...or tell them you plan on doing it...did you take the mcats yet...they ask about them...if you have an interview you are in good standing...a very high percentage of the people that get interviewed get accepted...just look over the questions that have been posted...and keep a copy of ur application nearby...

shivaji.. they tend to ask some questions regarding clinical experiences and it builds the interview. I think its very important that you get clinical experience
