Time between application and the interview
How long it took for you to get the interview from the application date? Did you call them to get the file moving? Did they inform you of the interview by mail or email? I applied two weeks ago for May 08. My original application to SABA also got forwarded.
Thanks for the information |

Just had an interview!
OMG,,,I think i bombed it...
but for those who r expecting an interview,,here are the questions,,pretty much the same as Azienbaby...but just to let u know! Identification Why do I want to become a doctor? Is my family OK with me moving to an island? What about my research experience? Any leadership roles? 3 people to take with me to a professional dinner? patient critically ill, wants to end life,,question is about not ending life but dealing with the patient?---> screwed this big time... my views on stem cell research? Doctor colleauge,,taking drugs--how would I handle the situation? moving around for clinicals? and then they told me about the curriculum and that they'll send out the mail 24-48 hrs later...also it could be a letter or a package....but they told a lot about the curriculum ,,also for financial aid, i think they were concerned about me paying off tuitions,,,arghhhhh! i am feeling so low!... but i'll have to wait for two weeks:S

thanks so much to everyone who has posted their interview questions.
My questions were exactly from the forum. No surprises! The interview lasted for 40 minutes. I am feeling very low though. i thought the interview was going well until they showed concern about my low MCAT score it was like i was getting mixed massages. At one point they were saying i am a good candidate for May 08. at another point Elizabeth was saying "if i am fortunate enough to get in". i really don't know what to make of it . i am feeling as if they would reject me Here are the questions i was asked? 1. why do you want to become a doctor? 2. what is your greatest strength? 3. what is your weakest strength? 4. three people you would invite at a dinner party? 5. can you live in the island? 6. what does your parents do? 7. a fellow med student cheating, what would you do? 8. a fellow physician has drug issues, what would you do? 9. how does your parents feel about you going to the island? 10. what do you know about the island? 11. what field of medicine you wish to go into? 12. my views on stem cell research? 13. traveling for clinical? they were friendly and funny at times. tried to make me feel comfortable. they said i should hear back from them soon as they would discuss with the committee this afternoon. good luck to everyone who is expecting an interview. |

Hi Dont worry abt it,your interview is no where near as bad as mine, and im on the Island!Hopefully you'll get in. If they were explaining the cirriculum and talking to you abt financial matter, then its a positive sign.Anyhow, nothing is affirmative with these things, but dont stress too much abt it. |
