510 points forgot to mention it. the schools University of Sint Eustatius School of Medicine
510 points How about you post a list of pros and cons? It's unlikely that you'll find a person who's been to both institutions.
520 points MUA had NY approval and I don't believe S. Eustatius does. that alone is a major reason to choose MUA. MUA has a solid match list and produces lots of good docs.
Similarly if someone is choosing between MUA and Saba; Saba had cali and MUA doesn't, so Saba would be a better pick.
No matter what school you choose you will have to write the usmle step 1, which is a major road block for many weaker students. I believe that the quality of student and the effort they put in has more to do with passing that then the school (again my opinion). However, the differences between schools will give you more options during your clinical training and residency afterwards. I'm in my clinical years now and had all my rotations booked back to back, despite some of the rumors. I'm happy with MUA so far (although I have lots to complain about as well)
g'luck with your decision
512 points Because of the change of the administrative status of Stasia now being incorporated into The Netherlands, USESOM will have to get accreditation from NVAO (the Netherlands accreditation board.) Failure to get NVAO approval will mean delisting from IMED. No graduate from a medical school that isn't IMED listed can practice in the USA - anywhere. NVAO is assessing USESOM now and it might take a while. If it was me, I wouldn't take the chance that USESOM will not get NVAO approval.
510 points Thanks for the answers. I'm glad I didn't get any more sarcastic resposes
