Female, over 35, coming with a dependent (child). Currently in Chicago. Will be living off campus BA from U of TX at Dallas 2003 Previous work experience in pediatric home health nursing and school nursing Strengths: pretty calm, good grasp of pediatric diseases, related medications and practical experience with some procedures such as catheterization, putting down a nasogastric tube, blood draws, doing vital signs. Weaknesses: Biochemistry (big time), need to work on getting in shape! For fun: with a 65 hour a week work schedule, sleep is my fun time, but I love reading and really am looking forward to the beaches during off time. Hope to hear from others! |

Good Idea Pedidoc! I'm 22 from Jersey. Muslim. Graduated... actually 2 weeks ago with a bachelors in science in Exercise Science. Lots of shadowing and doctor experience (although I haven't cath'd anyone ever so not as cool as Pedidoc) Was an Anatomy TA for one of the few cadaver labs throughout the east coast for almost 2 years
Strengths: Physics!! Although that won't help much. Anatomy (LOVE IT!) A people person, friendly once you get to know me Weaknesses: Study better in groups (anyone up for a study group?! =D ) Will be living in the dorms at least first semester, roommate prefered (any takers?!) September class
I'm glad to see a good mix of people so far. I know there are more than five of us, but not all may be on valuemd. Just for the record, coming from Chicago, BUT born and raised in Arkansas, and no, I do not like Bill Clinton, did not marry my cousin, and do wear shoes.

I was accepted last week orally over the phone with the admissions director Michael - he said that I would receive an admissions package within the next week. I still havent received it so they might be too busy at the moment. As for everything else, I am in the process of completing all of the wonderful forms haha
Stats - 22/M/Bachelors of Science in Biology from Wayne State University - coming alone P.S. anyone know who to contact for the dorms? im trying to get a single before they are gone. thanks =) |
