Thread: Is MUA accredited?

hi i am doing some research in this school since i might apply there. i didnt find MUA belize on the WHO listed medical schools. I contacted the school but they failed to provide me a link of MUA belize on the WHO list. Am i missing something? can someone provide me a link to prove me wrong?

Don't know about Belize. I did the same search and didn't find anything. The Nevis campus, where I am attending is recognized by WHO. But I can't find any information to let me know about Belize.

Nevis is a really good school. If you are serious about your education, and not looking for a place to party, check it out. It takes a while to adjust to the Nevetian lifestyle, but it gets you where you want to be if that is a physician.

Accreditation in the US is done by the LCSME, which only accredits US and Canadian schools. By US standards, all schools outside their domain are NOT accredited. The WHO listing is merely an acknowledgement that the school is recognized by the local government, it is not an accreditation. This is why the ECFMG exists, to evaluate foreign credentials from all other countries.

I believe that MUA-Belize is operating under the WHO listing for St. Kitts and Nevis. AUC does this also - they are chartered in Montserrat but operating out of St. Maarten.
