But still, all three schools are looked separately when it comes to licensure, etc. For example Saba is now approved 50 states in US, which MUA Nevis is not. It doesn't share the same kind of approval Saba has, it has to build its own, but it does benefit from the experienced managment of Saba. |

Thanks alot SKL
People at this forum are really helpful, and i m getting a clear picutre now, I guess I should explain my situation, I am a Fine Arts graduate with a GPA of 2.48 (due to a major car accident) and I am planning to apply to pre-med program @ Nevis. I was wondering if there is a site that list states where clinical rotations are offered and Nevis graduates can practice? and do i stand a good chance of getting accepted in pre-med? considering my low GPA and FA background? MUA is a competetive school and applicatn pool is increasing each year. also if its better to apply for a specific semester (September, January or May).
Thanks once again to all of you for taking time out from your busy schedules, |

Hi BTH,
I am in Canada, and the tution i would be paying in states for my pre-med would be same or more as the med-school, and I'd rather take pre-med cources and get use to the life style etc and the school....and my husband is moving to states so its easier for me (financially) and other reasons etc... Thanks for the motivation i need it now more then ever to make adecision to continue my education after working 2 years full time...and really LOST all the good habbits of studying....and i miss going to school so much so, considering my circumstances are there good chances of me mkaing in? regardless...i think its worth an effort... Thanks alot, |

Nevis
Well, MUA Nevis was established in 1998 where as MUA Belize was formed in 2001. I think your best option would be Nevis because the school is more settled and the living conditions are probably better.
The medical school is not exactly in St. Kitts, its on the island of Nevis just south from it. I don't know much about Belize but I've been trying to call the school and i can't seem to get a hold them. But, do apply to MUA Belize because you don't want to limit your options and miss out an opportunity to get into the MD program. Good luck -harleen |

MUA-Nevis and MUA-Belize
hey all,
i heard a branch of MUA-B folded...and faculty and admin just disappeared..... any ideas if MUA-N and MUA-B are related at all........ cause it would really suck if that happened to us.... |

They are separate schools with separate owners/administrations/students. MUA Nevis doesn't seem to be in any danger of folding since it seems like enrollment is up every semester and it just got approved by NY State.
