Can anyone please tell me how much cash ( in ECD or US dollars ) should we bring along with us for the first semster ..basically to buy food , grocery, etc.. or should we just bring traveller's cheques with us ? If yes..then regadring traveller's cheques, approximately how much and in what denominations should we get them done?? Any suggestions?? Thanks in advance : ) |

I brought traveller's cheque with me last semester and this semester too. You can get them in $100's or $50's, whichever you prefer. If you plan to open a checking account then I suggest you to bring traveller's cheque instead of cash because the exchange rate is more on traveller's cheque. Moreover, it is safer than carrying large amount of cash with you
