moderate as necessary

It is important that the site be monitored and moderated as necessary in order to keep things on track. There seem to be a select few people who like to stir up trouble for the school and for the posts. These simply distract us from important topics at hand. We should be grateful that we have a place to post comments in the first place and if we are mature and intelligent in our comments (and complaints) there will be no need for changes in content. This board is for our benefit ... negativity simply distracts from the issues at hand. Let us remember we are entering a profession, not just a job

I think that it is nice to have the Dean around; it is good to hear some accurate information, and maybe even a bit of inspiration, for a change.

Just consider this

If you have an isssue at school, take the risk of directly approaching admin. with that issue, or have the honesty to consider if you are not just feeling negative and need a place to vent. Then Vent to your friends, who can encourage you. Because here, venting just breeds venting, and fortunately or unforunately, MUA's repetition suffers by some unknown amount.

Consider... it's somewhat like going to your local newspaper with the details about every family squabble, mistake, sin, or ugly word. WOULD YOU DO THAT? WOULD THAT BE IN YOUR OWN BEST INTEREST?

You'll find admin. to be real people and you'll likely learn something about resolving conflict and getting your needs met, and developing relationships in real time, where you'll be "practicing" medicine, not on the internet.

We all experience fear, anger, joy, excitement, and OUR BUTTONS ARE PUSHED TO THE MAX while we are in medical school. Our admin. actually understands this, and takes us with a grain of salt, and yet listens when we go to them, instead of airing it out on the internet.
