Class size and makeup

How many students are in the pre-med classes at MUA NEVIS? Also, what is the ethnic makeup of the class? About what percent of each race are there in MUA? HONESTLY please....

Not much diversity here

I cannot speak strictly for the premed class, but the MUA student body as a whole consists mainly of middle easterners and indians, probably at least 75%. About 12% of the students are of european descent, 7% of african descent and the remaining 6% are asians and latinos. These are rough estimates.

Hi
From what i know the Premed 1 was 35 and med 1 was 98(96 now?).

As far ethnic make up goes, there are i believe 15 "white", 3-4 latinos?one russian, oone greek,5 asians.Everyone else is south asian, some arab, and quite a few africans(70 in total). But i would say 99% of these ppl have lived in the states all their lives or a good part of it...

In terms of class size (for med1), is it actually true that u have to be there like 15-20mins before class starts to get a decent seating in the room if not then u have hard time listening/watching slides... coz i think it was mentioned somewhere in other thread so just wanted to make sure..!

thanks

it gets better as the term progresses. I found that it was like you mentioned until the first block exam and then people started showing up a bit later. there were however always a few people who showed up early but that was only the first few rows over the term.

There are about as many Canadians as US citizens here.

im not so sure of this...in med 1 i'd say theres about 30 something canadians, and the rest about 60ish are from US...but when ppl say canadians like 70% of them live within an hour of Toronto. a few western provinces, but majority are from T dot. while the US students r from all over, most of them r from NY tristate area....

The class space situation will all be fixed when the new building is ready. Believe me....when you get into block 2-3 you won't see people coming early to get a spot.

I beg to differ...our class shows up early everyday, every block, and continue to do so...I guess it depends on how keen your classmates are. As for the makeup of the class...75% brown/middle eastern; 12% whites; 8% blacks, 5% asians...that is a rough estimate.
