Hurray! I will be coming down there next yr! Very excited to meet current and new students, the professors, the island natives, etc...Until then, I am going to enjoy my time here in Hotlanta with friends and family

Looking forward to meeting my new classmates!

I'm admitted for May2008 as MD1 student as well... I'm visiting the island during thanksgiving break. Really excited to start on this new venture...looking forward to meeting all May 08 students as well...

Hi Guys:
Now that you have made it, could you tell me when you applied for May 2008 admission and how long the whole process took? Could you also say anything about MCAT or GPA? I have a decent GPA (3.4) but didn't get a good score in MCAT(19). I don't want to take it again if I can avoid it. I would rather put my energy studying to be a M.D.

hey there...u have a solid GPA and decent MCAT score..You will definitely get into MUA! My GPA was a little higher with nursing background but no MCAT...Hope this helps!

Thanks for the assurance. I had the interview last Friday and got the package on Tuesday. So, it looks like I am definitely coming there for May 2008 unless I get some better offers from US schools. My brother went there (Sept. 05 to April 07) and finished Step 1 immediately after leaving the island and is half way through his M3. So, I know MUA is a good school and Nevis is a good island. Let us hope that they will apply for and get CA approval as well when we are there. If anyone wants to know about MUA or Nevis, let me know. Ditto, have your notified MUA admissions of your decision? They sent me a reminder to call to confirm my travel arrangements so I will have to let them know soon I suppose
