Most states look at schools on a case by case basis... at least when it pertains to licensure.
Michigan does also 5 other states are in the process of implementing similiar programs.

SOme of the worst offending states that foster these type of schools include Wyoming, Alabama, Idaho.

Lots of consumer fraud involved; some consumers actually think that they are doing the work to get a doctorate by writing a paper and 'defending' a thesis and paying $2500-4500.

azsceptic,

I don't plan on living in Oregon or furthermore attending any of these schools.

However, I did hear that the Oregon ODA has settled out of court for making inaccurate statements on their website about a properly recognized and licensed US school.

Perhaps that lawsuit was the catalyst for Oregon beeing more cautious about labeling schools "Diploma Mill". Hence the removal of diploma mill wording in regards to MUA.
