Has anyone taken a ferry from St Kitts to Nevis? Just wondering because it might be the way I have to get to Nevis. Also if you've been on the ferry, do they limit the amount of luiggage you can carry on?
Thanx in advance,
Melian

510 points you are not going to nev directly?
510 points Melian-
This is just coincidence that I end up answering your questions but a response is a response. If this makes you feel any better, I'm flying out of Kitts and into Kitts on Sept. 3rd. I plan to get a lot of luggage with me on the way back. I can fairly say that there isn't a limit on the number of luggage you bring along or even weight. I don't think you'll have much of a problem except for the fact that you have to carry them onto the ferry. Then the school bus driver will meet you at the ferry station in downtown and drive you to your place. The only trouble will be getting everything in a bus on Kitts and onto the ferry. Otherwise you're good to go. I would advise you though to fly straight into Nevis. This is your first trip to the island and the last thing I'd want is for you to have it tough after a long flight. PM me if you still get in to Kitts and I'll try to see if my friend can pick you up from the airport and help you to the ferrry. Again, I would rather you pay a couple extra bucks and fly straight in, at least for your first trip. Let me know what you decide and get pumped up for a great experience. See ya soon.

Looks like I won't be on the flight going through St Kitts anymore. I just had to change my itenerary because I have to leave during the week instead of on a weekend. The flight I was going on is strictly a saturday schedule so no worries. Thanks for the response (don't worry that you answer all my questions...you are a good friend keeping an eye out for newbies!).
gG can I ask how much internet runs you per month?? You can PM me if anything. Also do you have a phone (internet, pay as you go etc) and about how much is that as well. I just need some figures to work with (realistically ofcourse so don't be tryna down play anything cuz I needs to know aiight!! LOLL!!)
See you soon,

Hope all is well. As for internet service on the island, we get a really good connection now and it's really fast but you have to sign up before August 30th to get the good deal. So make sure when you get on the island to set up your internet. It will cost you around $125 for the first month because you have to buy the modem from them and $40-$50 each month after that. As far as regular phone service, I would suggest you get Vonage. It's free to the US and Canada and it's been working miracles for me. It's honestly the best thing you can have here.
Good luck

510 points ironpalm,
No the flight was from Toronto to St. Kitts directly (but it runs on saturdays only via US Airways). Then I'd only have to get a ferry to Nevis...
gG,
Thanx gG for the phone info. Will do that Vonage thing. I'll try to get to Nevis and do that internet thing before August 30th I should be there around then.
