Final update from OSAP:
I talked with the person in charge and she filled in me on what they are doing to address this issue. As it stands, MUA does not yet fulfill the 10-year requirement for medical schools for its students to be eligible for OSAP. She does not know why it was on the list in the first place, but it has been taken down now until it passes the 10 year mark.

The good news however is that RETURNING students can still apply for loans for the upcoming year. We have to go to the OSAP website, download and print a paper application and send that in. You cannot apply via the website. However, NEW students cannot apply for OSAP loans.

Did you take your original loan out through OSAP? If so, you can still be considered as being in 'student status' and defer the loan. Call the OSAP office and tell them that you are still a student. There is a form you need to fill out.

there is a form that you can get from osap that is a deferment of interest. Look it up, you get the school to verify that you are still studying and all is well. DONT DELAY on this though because they will hunt you down like crazy...my bro was put into this situation

if i start in jan of 2008, can i get the osap. also for some reasons, if osap is not available for jan 2008, i can get it whenever it becomes available? or if you dont get it for first semester, you wont get osap at all?
