Things I wish I brought with me.....

Since there is a thread on things I wish I did not bring, 'thought it would be nice to start something optimistic! Anyone who have forgotten bringing something down and wish they did because it was invaluable, post it here.... It would at least give the ones coming down for the first time an idea on what things might be necessary for them!

To start with... I wish I had brought down a bigger external hard drive, you can never have too much space (load up Kaplan videos, Pass, Goljan, Notes, study aides, back up all your files.....) Am bringing down at least a 500 GB...... Need to back up all the files just in case (crossing my fingers) something goes wrong with my pyuter... my notes and important stuff (my lifeline in medskool) does not get lost!

Everyone, don't forget to bring a bottle opener, because it's such a heart break to have an unopened bottle of beer after blocks and no way to open it!!

What?? You can't open a bottle of beer with your teeth?
Didn't they teach that in undergrad??
OK, be a man. Now get those teeth in shape and open that bottle with your teeth.

LOL,

All kidding aside, you can also use a rock. Once you start opening the cap, the rest is easy!!
Good luck, A_G

stookie, use a door, a rock, a chair, anything!
nothing can stop a thirsty man from a cold brew after a stresful day of MUA drama!

k_tanaka ur right - but 500gB is not enough, i have 1.6Tb right now and am bringing another 600Gb next semester.

personally, i wish i brought more printer cartridges (although i was here for two semesters, and just now ran out of one colour). you can only get HP here, and that doesn't do it for me.

stookie, a real legend doesn't need to advertise, and... u gonna come out of ur room now;-)

We did that experiment too. When the professor left the room, everyone started drinking their product. That stuff is strong. It evaporates off your tongue as soon as you drop it on.

500 GB I think

1.6 TB?? still not enough??? Man you must have a lot of other stuff in it too, eh?? Any interesting movies????

the 500 GB's right now are selling at a reasonable price. Above that they are still ridiculously expensive. Between the kaplan, pass, Goljan, lecture stuff, stud aides, other school stuff, 500 GB i think is enough.

the movies, I'll keep 'em on a separate external drive. Playing those movies and MP3's will make your drive spin like crazy. Lessens the life span of the drive. I'm not risking losing my very important stuff.

Am binging a book stand/holder. Keeps you from hunching over when you read.
