Only California, Texas and NY have this approval process. Most other states do not have any such process and MUA grads can do clinicals in and practice in any of those states without any problems. There are some exceptions to that (Kansas and NJ), but I won't get into them. Basically NJ doesn't have an approval process anymore. They did have one a while ago (years ago) but they got rid of it. As it stands, MUA has only applied for NY accreditation so far. Hopefully in the near future they will apply for CA accreditation.

NY Approval.

This is a significant progress and would open up further doors in the future. since most states do not worry about this approval process ( except California and texas), one should not be panicked at all. Most state licenses can be realized by virtue of reciprocity. Therefore one should simply concentrate on the school exsistence and production of more viable graduates that would serve as its backbone in years to come. When the older schools first started in the late seventies and eighties, they had their hurdles too in terms of approvals and graduate medical education. But as of today, those are behind them. We at MUA would equally pass this process with time. It would be better for the admin to take its time in the execution of application for approval for california than hurriedly pursue it and commit blonders in such circumstance.

I will say with patience, everything would fall into place with time.
