Hello floaters!..when applying for a medical institution in the caribbean ask how many of them have a brand new state of the art government endorsed free clinic..just down the road from the campus for use by the students for hands on experience under the guide of international trained physicians!!.and the san pedro PolyClinic is the LARGEST MEDICAL FACILITY on the island.where we get to perform physicals and take historys of actual patients!!..and where we have use of brand new physician offices..and when you need a break, right next door is an american style supermarket stock full of comforts from home..and across the street is a official coca cola factory store,.where you can order your favorite soft drinks and great tasting drinking water..but most importantly..the clinical expericence is invaluable and you are encouraged to go as much as you like..vs. other schools on islands who rent store fronts and send you to a small private office to see maybe one patient that 5 or 6 students have already visited..check out MUA Belize folks..a true daimond in the rough
yes thank you

First, the polyclinic is the only public health facility.. all the others are private therefore it's the only facility that students can go to... and this last semester was the first time that students went to the polyclinic to do physicals and history-taking... for the H/P class; we had always gone there for the clinical medicine class...it was just a different building previous semesters. The Polyclinic was opened in the summer semester of this year.... Not all of the services at the Polyclinic are being offered.. it will be phased in..
