Mua Belize Residents, Please Stand Up!
there's plenty posts and gossip about residents who at one point or another attended mua belize. can these people PLEASE! post their experiences? did you transfer? did you get offered placement with an authentic mua belize degree? or did you start at mua belize and complete your education at another school? was it caribbean? anybody get accepted to a U.S. program? by doing so did you lose any credits? was it a smooth transition? my wife did a huge chunk at mua belize, but because we had a newborn, she took an extended leave. she is contemplating whether to return and finish (less than 6 months left of 4th year) or to leave? but leaving soo late in the program would be detrimental? and she maybe forced to give up some of her credits, which she is unwilling. somebody has to be in a bind like this. please share your thoughts. PM me if you prefer not to make public statements. i am looking for suggestions or solutions to attend a better program where mua belize credits are fully honored and no hassle is involved. or should she just wrap things up with mua belize? i got my M.D. from UTESIA domincan republic, we looked into it, and there program is incompatible and they still are'nt offering U.S. rotations. my wife is adament she not need to leave the states.

I am not a student at MUA Belize but I would suggest you read all the post by other students. I also found out that the school is not operating from their "permanent campus" any longer because it was never owned by the school as has been stated all along. It is better to go to a school that will be there when she applies for residency. Did your wife complete her USMLE Step 1? Does she have official transcripts from MUA Belize? In case she completed her step 1 then she can apply for a transfer to many other schools. Sint Eustatius, AUA, even MUA Nevis could be possible, if nothing she can try Xavier or Windsor. Most of these schools will probably require her to complete about 24 weeks with them. Good Luck.

Caution in Needed
I would agree with Claudia. The school is not operational and there is a long history of prior students and graduates having severe problems getting transcripts and ECFMG certification. Even if you lose credits, a stable school with longevity will get you your goal which is a residency and eventually a license to practice medicine. If you don't already have several signed copies of your MUA-B transcript with the school seal, I advise that you get them asap from the Massachusetts office. PM me if you have questions. Yossarrian

whoah! whoah! whoah!
Are we not jumping the gun here? the school not being "operational" is a bit of an overstatement, my wife has 2 classmates who are currently rotating and the office states classes have resumed. now i do not know what all the noise is about this "campus". my wife attended in 2002-2003 basic sciences and this building that everybody speaks of did not even exist. my wife did point out to me the original school building, during my week long visit to san pedro. which was a conference center conversion. it was modern, 3 stories, with a rooftop cafe. she said they had actual cadeavour labs, histology labs, study halls, etc. and again, never set foot in what "building" people speak of. it is not fair of individuals like "claudia" to jump all over mua belize when claudia never attended or personally does not know anyone, she passes judgement based on gossip and drama on the forums. my wife takes exception and has staunch school pride. she did mention there were in fact a handful more than 6 students at least dismissed for academic and non academic reasons. it appears this forum is quite popular with them. THERE ARE MANY INACCURACIES AND DISINGENIOUS RUMORS SPREAD ON THESE FORUMS. i specifically asked mua belize students to chime in who have left for greener pastures. what do i get? claudia with her agenda to tear her rival school down. please stop speaking with such authority if you do not have the facts. ONLY PLEASE MUA BELIZE STUDENTS WHO TRANFERED OUT TRY AND HELP ME. I HAVE NO TIME FOR DRAMA FROM LOSERS WHO DID NOT EVEN GO TO MUA.

I thought you were looking for help but I guess Dr.R or S. came back with a new name. You say your wife went to school in 2002 -03 and she still has classmates doing clinicals? Did they also take a long break like her? Where are they doing their rotations? The building you are talking about is a casino now. The school has been out of that building since end of 2003. And the school has also been evicted from their " permanent campus" location a few months ago. You are the one spreading lies. Good luck with your propaganda. Here is the link to the website that proves my point.

claudia makes contradictory statements.
I am not a student at MUA Belize as quoted by claudia. soon after: The building you are talking about is a casino now. CLAUDIA IS AN EXPELLED DRAMA QUEEN SPREADING HURTFUL LIES AND HURTING STUDENTS ATTENDING THE SCHOOL. SO WHAT IF THE CAMPUS MOVED. IT MOVED THREE TIMES. SO WHAT! LIFE HAPPENS! OTHER SCHOOLS IN CARIBBEAN ALSO MOVED MANY TIMES OVER. CLAUDIA STOP POSTING LIES AND WHAT ARE YOUR MOTIVES?

yes they did take breaks.
because of usmle reviews and needing to work due to lack of loan options. some of them even needed to take time out and do retakes for exams. how is that garbage program on mainland belize going for you? oh wait, you NEVER ATTENDED MUA BELIZE. but you know MORE THAN THE NATIVE SAN PEDRANOS know about the town.

Playing with so many students lives might be a game to you. I know about the events at the island because i have friends that did attend MUA Belize. I never attended MUA Belize or CAHSU. Money must be running out of your pockets, with all the lawsuits against you, for you to come back here and try to recruit some innocent students.
