Not Answering Phone

No one has been answering the 800 number for MUA-B for over two weeks. You can leave messages but no one will return the call. I believe that the operation is defunct but that some one needs to be held accountable for transcripts. It is not just me, several others have sent me PM's with the same complaint.

WOW!!! I almost applied to this school. Thanks for the info. Did you try calling the Belize office to get transcripts? Isn't it the schools obligation to issue transcripts to students?

In reality, why should the school care about that? It's dead. You cant force a dead, non-operating school to do anything.

Can't the students sue the school in US or in Belize to obtain their transcripts and get refunds? It won't be fair to the students.

For what its worth, I was there last week and the campus was open. I just stopped in briefly, though. I don't know anything else, but the school isn't dead.

Rumor on the island is that one of the big investors is taking over the marketing plan and they intend to get things going again. I hope that they do.

KVarner, were you there to enroll at MUA-Belize? Did you meet any students, professors, Dean, other staff at the school? You can hear rumors on the island but that could just be it a rumor.

How many restarts should this school be aloud? Is this really fair to the students who have paid their tuition and never received an education? What about the students who paid their tuition and cannot get copies of their transcripts? Should really be criminal!!!

I was there because I love the island and was living there just because it was such an awesome place to live. I really wanted to go to the school (had been accepted). Despite what some people say, I think that RS is a delightful lady who is very committed to what she does. If my instincts about people are correct (I sure hope so) RS is very sincere and really cares about what she is doing. The school is just in a really bad situation, and as much as I like Ambergris Caye and RS, I can't justify going there .

I don't know how many students are there right now. I was told 8 by someone on the island, but if you know anything about Ambergris Caye, you know not to believe anything you hear.

Hope you don't rely on your instincts for anything important.
