Thread: Tuition Refunds

I have received several private messages from current and former students telling me that getting a refund from MUA-B will be almost impossible. Are there others in this situation? Will the Belize govt or anyone intervene? What about Teri? BillyBill who I understand is really Dean R.S. already sent me a threatening message about trying for a tuition refund. All help or advice is appreciated.

even st. chris students are about to get refunds so it may be hard to get refund from mua-b but it certainly is not imposssible. try calling attorney journals and inform teri so they dont just send your fees to mua-b every semester or so.

MUA Belize was never full of student so the OP never actually denied any other applicant a seat. And it does not matter if he "bailed out" ...if he is not receiving the education from MUA Belize... the OP is entitled to stop TERI from sending the school any money. After all he is the one who is going to have to pay the fee back.

If anything, I think he should seek legal action against those responsible.

You know, I think it's safe to say that there are lots of empty seats available.

I was one of those unlucky ones that got lured into coming to London and their 'beautiful campus'. the school was a joke. I withdrew immediatley and have since been forgetten about. I have sent countless unanswered emails and sat on hold for countless hours trying to get through to someone in Mass. but only to recieve no reply from them since September 2006. I think they are theives and that they are missleading innocent people. As far as getting my tuition back, it may never happen. I am not going to stop until I see this school closed for miss leading its students and for not following their own policies and rules. Luckly I found another Univesity in England and am now getting my MSc and loving it. I urge all those out there trying to get their money back to not give up. Take it to small claims court if you need to. But dont feel to small to stand up to injustice. They are the ones being dishonest to those of us who are just trying to make a difference in the world. Contact your loan people. You may be SOL for this tuition and refund the rest back to Teri yourself. If they don't comply with Teri, Teri will pull any financial future funding. This may be your only option. They usually have your check from Teri in full and take out tution and give you the rest. If they have the full amount, then Teri can take up action against the school much easier than you can.

Believe me, they don't want to lose Teri loans. That is your only pressure you can give them.

Given the information Yossarian has shared with us in the thread entitled "Teri Loans Lost", I don't know if this will work. Sorry.
