It was the biggest blunder of MUA Belize to have merged with St. Chris go to the State of Oregon banned schools list you will now find MUA Belize attached to the name of St.Chris which is banned there

Why associate with another school to inherit problems of legality of a school

Something like downtown Chicago no doubt... as the others mentioned cities like Oklahoma city. Yeah too bad MUA Nevis sends its students to such tiny unknown cities.... erm excuse me, rural towns.

So what did they do? Transfer out of MUA-N?

Yes, go to the state of Oregon and ask yourself why that information is there, and in record speed. Then ask yourself why other schools are on that list as well, i.e. MUA Nevis. NY accepts accepts MUA Nevis, but not Oregon. Oregon is not the end all. If MUAB is suddenly unacceptable to Oregon due to it's affiliation with St.Chris as a satellite campus, then I would avoid a state that makes snap decisions based upon gossip.

So do you have any evidence supporting this? Did you asked them if that's what they did?

I'm assuming you're referring to 'making snap decisions'? As a matter of fact I did ask them. I wrote to Oregon several weeks ago and asked some very basic questions, and I have yet to receive a response. Granted they're busy, but it's obvious they're fast about updating their info regarding St. Chris and a few other schools if you follow their website. I'd only like to know why they're fast with that, yet unable to answer reasonable questions. That might be an idea they should incorporate into their website. As I also said, they're excluding the Nevis campus, why? What makes Oregon's criteria that much different from New York? I'd like to know, and I think many others would as well as it is a fair question.

It's good to be critical of states and what they require too; just because you're a student/doctor/taxpayer/citizen does not mean that you shouldn't ask questions, and expect appropriate and reasonable responses.

I'm currently a student at MUA-Belize, completing my first two years this past December of 2005. I'm tired of the "negativity" that has been placed in this forum re: my school. I do understand that MUA-Belize has either just merged or bought out St. Christopher's.. we are looking at this through the eyes of St. Chris.. but I want to turn it around... MUA-Belize has been an accredited school for four years, building its' reputation and students' base. We are NOT "perfect".. BUT SERIOUSLY, what school is "perfect?" Every school has its' problems.. the more established schools hide it better... and also because they have built their reputation to the point that no one questions them. As I stated in the thread: "message for potential students", if you are looking for a medical school, then you should find one that "fits" YOU. I can say that MUA-Belize "fitted" me...

Instead of saying how bad St. Christopher was, let's talk of how good MUA-Belize is and what good it will bring to the relationship. A new relationship brings in changes, and different perspectives. In other words, the finer details need to work out... BUT until then... I encourage potential medical students to look into MUA-Belize. (please read "message to potential students" thread). To those who want to bring the negativity,.. I ask you to bring FACTS...in other words.. "put up or shud up"

Thank you for your time, and this will be the end of the negativity on MY SIDE. Have a nice day and evening.

frankly...I am tired of it

As a MUA-B student, I am tired of logging on and reading all the negativity regarding my school. People who have never posted on this forum, attended nor showed interest in MUA-B are all of the sudden posting, commenting and researching without stating the facts.
Not one postive thing has been mentioned regarding this "merge/buyout" of St. Christopher's. So, please if you do not have proof, refrain yourself from posting rumors and your own negative opinions. As a future physician, try to show a little compassion & understanding to your fellow collegues who have chosen the same path as you by attending a foreign medical school and now they have to deal with the fact that their school had to close down. A little encourgament would go a long way.
