Thread: current students

I know little about this school except the island where the school is. Can you tell me something about what it is like to attend MUA? I would like to know if the school has future plans to obtain NY and CA approval and if there will be more clinicals available in the future.
I am considering other schools in the Caribbean but they are overcrowded or more expensive. Why should I consider MUAB?

We (students) receive personalized attention. Our highly qualified faculty have an open door policy for office hours before and after class. The dean is also available to answer all your questions. You can find quiet study halls, even all to yourself!. Our student body is very close knit and friendly. If you want to do clinicals in a specific location and you are able to be a liason the school will work with you as far as paperwork is concerned. Also we start Kaplan much earlier than 5th semester we have genuiene Kaplan Program and regular visits to the new polyclinic on the island. New York is a real possibilty in the near future. The island is very accomodating and welcoming. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS COME OUT ONE WEEKEND, SPEND A FEW HOURS IN CLASS, AND YOU WILL SEE FIRST HAND HOW EXCELLENT OUR PROFESSORS ARE, AND HOW MUCH ATTENTION STUDENTS RECEIVE!

another thing we also like to relax! our s.g.a is great! there always planning great activities! we have bbq' cook outs and sporting events! we do tours of the mainland! we have international guest lecturers come and see us! we have karoake nights! we have great parties to celebrate the weekend after exams! and our campus is right next door to a luxurious full service resort, where you can go and relax have a cocktail, unwind and study right on the beach!!!!!

Could anyone tell me if the students can do their clinicals in Atlanta with the GMC group? And do you have to take and pass your Boards to do your Clinicls in Atlanda? If you don't have to pass your boards to go to Atlanta, must you pass them in order to graduate? Thanks for the help -

Some MUA-Belize students are doing their clinical rotations in Atlanta through GMC group. Others are doing rotations in Chicago. You do NOT need to pass Step 1 in order to do your clinical rotations. BUT you DO NEED to pass USMLE in order to graduate! There's also several other sites available internationally! MUA-B rocks!! check us out!

Yes you can do you clinicals in ATL @ the GMC group. I am currently doing so.
