SHORT HISTORY OF XUZHOU MEDICAL COLLEGE:

Xuzhou Medical College is located in Xuzhou City, Jiangshu province in China. It is a public and fully accredited institution of higher education under the direct administration of the Jiangsu provincial government. Since the year of its establishment in 1958, Xuzhou Medical College has been a centre of medical education, services & research in the China. As a leading medical institution in China Xuzhou Medical College educates the potential medical professionals from undergraduate to Doctorate degrees.

CAMPUS:

Xuzhou Medical College has 4 separate campuses and it covers an area of 1250 Chinese Acres and the College building area is 3,30,000 Squire meters approximately. The College has 9 affiliated hospitals and 6 Clinical institutes, 120 stabilized high quality clinical teaching base. The College is equipped with 13 courtyards. The number of enrolled students is 17000, full time undergraduate students is 10722, graduate students is 1100 and foreign students 50 approximately. students have access to a large numbers of books and e-books.

FACULTY & DEPARTMENT:

The College is equipped with the clinical Medicine, Anesthesiology, Medicine phantom study, Nursing, Pharmacy, Preventive medicine, Bio-medical engineering, Non-profit organization to manage, Stomatology, Medicine examination technology, Recovery therapeutics, Eye to regard optics, Nutriology, Oral cavity repair craft, Clinical pharmacy altogether 17 undergraduate Major and 34 Postgraduate courses. The College has 1700 regular staffs out of which around 700 full professors and specialized teachers.

LIBRARY:

Xuzhou Medical College boosts of having two big libraries covering some 10,797 squire meters with a facilities of 1250 seats for the students for reading. There is a collection of 450,000 volumes, 560,000 electronic books, over 1,500 categories of Chinese periodicals, 110 categories of foreign periodicals, and more than 160 kinds of newspapers as well. In recent years, the library has made a rapid progress in its digitalized construction, possessing 18 servers, 7 SAN storage space, 738 computer information nodes. Besides, there is a series of databases, that is, 10 Chinese databases of purchasing or self-building, 3 foreign language full-text databases, 3 second literature databases, postgraduate thesis databases of our university, medical audio-visual database, and learning and examination databases for English and computer studies.

STUDENTS DORMITORY:

There are 2 students dormitories for international students at Xuzhou Medical College which ensures availability of sufficient accommodations for the international students. Xuzhou Medical College charges international students a very nominal fees for this accommodation arrangements. This fees structure are considered the cheapest fees for accommodation in the entire China. Students enjoy cost effective benefit due to it which help them controlling their budget for continuing their education.

yes i have visited the College sometimes before and it seems a best College in China.Its tuition and other fees are also very cheap which could definitely be helpful for students like us to study medicine there. International cooperation & exchange programs are also satisfactory....OK

sounds like spam to me... absdhakabd seems to know a lot about the college having even visited there and would recommend it if he/she WAS going to study medicine there... what a great recommendation - not! also, how can one truly comment and advise whether the claimed international & exchange programs are so good if one isn't a student or has studied through the program. It's the same as saying that a Ferrari is a great brand of car without having owned/driven or even sat in one.

Please do use your judgement, and note the number of posts of the two posters, and do your own search on Google for schools that are offering programs in English in China. Personally, I've never heard of the English program at Xuzhou, so it's most likely a very new program.

Nope, they were general statements about this thread

Regarding California approval, if you do the program intended for local students (e.g., taught in the mother tongue in most cases), it is approved. However, since this is an English, it is not approved by the California medical board.

I think the closest program in English to being approved is the Bilingual program at Peking University (though I'm not sure if it's bilingual anymore these days...it may be just in Chinese now...).

To globalmetic:Can anyone for sure say what is the standard of measuring the absolute quality of an educational institute? It may differ from person to person and this is very simple.But using harsh or rude words in defining something only shows his ugliness which can not be expected.So pls be gentle in expressing views about other's comment.Thanks to everyone
