Hi. I'd like some advice on which medical schools are the leasttt expensive. I was admitted to St.Christopher, but couldn't afford to pay $3,000 a month for the medical program. Now I'm continuing to do my bachelors from a university in Illinois and am very distressed about not being able to afford it, which means I can't fulfill my dream of being a doctor without borders. If there's any information you guys have about medical schools cheaper than that please tell me. I'd really appreciate it

I know this seems rather obvious but....

why not apply for financial aid?

If you're a US resident you're guarenteed $189K in federal title IV funds (although maybe only if you go to a US school)

    Arrow $$$

Spartan, costa rica, asian, eastern europe, should be cheaper....but you will get what you pay for. Few schools have federal loans and lots of private. Get some loans and go to a good school, all I can say......

While cost is important and is an issue, you should try not to make that your biggest issue. I was far more concerned about cost at first, but then I realized that often if you go to a cheaper school, you are more limited in where you can practice and your future isn't as sure as I would like. I didn't want to be limited with where I could practice, and I wanted it to be worth all the work I am going to go through.

You might consider the National Health Service Corp for a scholarship.
