other loans?

So which other loan options are available if Caribbean schools end up losing Federal Loans?

loans

You can finance all your education through private loans. There are many to choose from. When i started one of the big three i had substantial loans from my masters program. I ran out of staffords during my second semester, and am about to graduate having borrowred my entire amount through private loans.

So, is there any way to get pvt loans if one's credit is pretty bad?

Parent as a cosigner

I have a friend who I study and volunteer with that I am trying to convey the importance of maintaining a good credit rating. He tends not to deal with issues and lets them fester. I think he is relying on his father to be a cosigner. There has been much discussion about this in other posts. You might look at the Saba and St. Matthew's forums. Students at these schools are not eligible for Stafford loans and must finance their education entirely with private loans and whatever money they have saved.

Actually, if I'm not mistaken, the report used a ratio to rank the schools. I believe it was # of docs from a school that committed malpractice:# docs from that school total that practice in the US.

If I'm right, that makes you a fool.

any remedial statistics class would teach you that the amount of docs in the US from a particular true foreign med school would be tiny compared too an established carib school that sends pretty much all their grads to the states.

hence they would be higher on the malpractice case list. "N" is greater for the caribbean. heck..... im sure harvard would have more malpractice cases compared to most true foreign schools.

its all about the sample size. im sure you already knew this.... right?

The big 3 were not at the top of the report. Actually couple of US schools were at the top, if memory serves me correctly. The report was up here a couple years ago. G

I'll keep looking. It was in graph form.

Maybe you have a problem with reading comprehension, but you will notice it was asked as a question. Obviously, if I had the report, I wouldn't have made a query for further information. Try answering the question rather than making more nonsensical posts.

There was a pdf for the article but I can't find it... you'll have to settle for the article.
