Don't tell Rush, he tends to support views that don't use deductive reasoning past 1-2 conclusions. Beck would be an asset however. I'll see what I can do.

I think Beck would be all for it, since losing loans will basically negate an opportunity for Americans to achieve their dreams.

It looks like the House has passed the "Higher Education Act"

http://news.google.ca/news?hl=en&q=%...ct&sa=N&tab=wn

Although the story is missing so what could that possibly mean?

That's good to know!

I sent so many mails from work that my boss asked me if I was an electoral candidate.
I am glad those efforts paid off....
We must keep on fighting!!!!

Okay - this link http: //orient.bowdoin.edu/orient/article.php?date=2005-11-18&section=1&id=8
and this link: http://insidehighered.com/news/2005/11/18/budget
give opposite reports on whether it passed or not. But since the house bill did contain the Grandfather clause it is not a major catastrophe for us if it did pass. However - if it did indeed pass then it definitely will move forward for reconcilliation in conference committee with the senate version that does NOT contain the Grandfather clause. Thus, letters, phone calls, emails, faxes, in person visits to offices, etc. are all even more critical now to make sure that the Grandfather clause survives during this compromise session.

So does anyone actually know anything? Was the clause in the House bill?

I looked it up.

http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/...kKzVVj:e25169:

If the h.r.609 was passed by the House, the clause was included. The clause isn't in the senate bill. So basically we accomplished nothing.
