Hey Everyone! I wanted to know is it important for a Caribbean school to be approved by WHO anymore? I know it is important to be approved by ECFMG, but how important is it to be approved by WHO? I thought it was important, because some American Med schools if you want to transfer there for 3rd year for clinicals it says you have to be approved by WHO and ECFMG...But then I hear from some people that WHO isn't that important...so please let me know what you all think!!

lets puit it this way; if you manage to find a school that ISNT Who approved, run as fast as you can from it. So many crappy schools are WHO approved if one isnt its just frightening.

It is my understanding that the WHO does not update their list of schools anymore. Now, it is only FAIMER's IMED directory. Maybe that is wrong, but that has been my understanding for some time now.
