They are listed in IMED.
They have excellent relations with the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education of Belize and they are working together on humanitarian work.
The charter is secured until 2014 and then will be automatically renewed.
They own a brand new building with labs, classrooms, library, offices, a/c, etc.
They have a 6 acre land and an infrastructure of 50000 suae feet in Hungary for another campus, but it is not quite completed yet.ű
They are working an affiliation with Pensylvannia Research center in order to provide their students with research opportunities.
They have active proffesors from George Washington Medical University for their program in medical geology. George Washington University and Hope are the only 2 schools in the world offering that program.
They have both Hungarian and American proffessors.
Their teaching hospitals are greenbook and located mainly at Atlanta and Budapest.
The hospital in Budapest is Semelweiss and it is the most important teaching hospital in Hungary (I am currently doing pediatric neurology there!).
They are a christian school, with christian principles. But they accept all religions of course.
They have an International foundation giving tons of money and equipment across the world.
They are selective.
They are not approvesd in CA and NY yet.
This is helpful but you still haven't quite answered my question. What is the name of the town (address) in Belize where this campus is said to be at. Is there a website that I can visit?

hope university

I thought that this school just opened, yet you are a 4th semester student. Is the school approved by WHO, IMED? Do they offer student loans?

The best will be for you to call them.
I can post my experience there, but the info is best from the school.
They are in IMED and in WHO.
I am a 4th YEAR med student, as I transfered into their clinical program.
They just opened Jan 2005.

"hope" you get a license

just for your information, schools offering advanced placement for chiropracters, others... trouble when it comes to licensure. any real school does not offer these credits.

Maybe it is risky, but it is wrong to say that no real school offer advanced standing.
I know some people who got advanced standing in US schools for chiropractic credits.
Including one of my clinical attendings.
But I don't want to go in endless debate.
Best is to check with liscensing boards.

?

I do not believe advanced standing would be given for anything from a chiropractic school. At most, they might allow a student to test out.

To have any credibility, you will have to name the LCME school.

There is a vast 'gap' between chiropractic and medical schools in the US. Medicine doesn't approve widely of chiropractic. The level of education in chiropractic schools varies widely and I too would question that 'credit' is given for their offerings; yet schools like IUHS,St. Lucia, UHSA give credit. That is why these schools are under fire.

This One Caused Me To Fall Out Of My Chair Ith Laughter

Its true that most of the other schools in Belize have closed down or are on the verge of closong down.
As soon as Belize implements the CARRICOM guidelines, most of all the schools in belize will close down except CAHSU as they fullfill all the requirements laid down by CARRICOM and they are working together with UWI. After some time with implement of CARRICOM CAHSU will be accrediated in all 50 states of USA.
Grace is already closed. St.Luke & MUA Belize are on verge of closing. Hope and Interamerican doesn't exist there. So select the college carefully.

Really? Tell us about these Caricom guidlines dear sir

Tell us how CAHSU is working with UWI?
Why dont you tell the TRUTH?
Why are you trying to fool people?
Do you really think that even if UWI would lower its standards to "work: with CAHSU that whossh all 50 boards will acredit CAHSU.

This is accreditation by proxy? By association? By osmosis? by facilitated absorption?

Surely you dont think that all readers on this forum are stupid do you?

Someone has fooled you real good. But dont try to fool others.

Belize

Conversation I had with someone on the committee studying improving the system it would appear that they are indeed strengthening the requirements for medical schools performance in Belize. This will require the schools to improve. It will not limit the country to one school though; the committee has representation from all schools.

You may note that Grace's charter was terminated for not having any local presence. From the GMC website in England it appears Grace remains without a charter today and its students would appear to be in peril in terms of future licensing.
