This is my thought on a similar thread...

Quote:
My personal opinion is to be conservative and start over. The much, much bigger question is NOT which school will accept transfer credits. The much, much bigger question is what kind of trouble you will run into come licensure time with a questionable school that has closed on your transcript, and no school officials to back you up when licensing boards have questions.

To start, you will need official transcripts from EVERY SCHOOL you have attended and are using the credit for licensure. So, if you transfer, you will need official transcripts from Kigezi to be sent FROM Kigezi to the boards. Your new schools transcript showing Kigezi credit won't do. They will want originals from Kigezi directly. Where are you going to get them? Now, if you are transferring midway through basic science, how compatible are the curriculums? No doubt the licensing boards will want to question that to be sure. The licensing boards will likely want to talk to BOTH SCHOOLS, and requiring an official response on their curriculums. Now, who are you going to call on to represent Kigezi? Now, Kigezi is/was one of those schools that are exploring a new path like St. Chris -- chartered in a third world African country while holding classes in England -- a practice that is illegal in the US (that's why Ross couldn't open a campus in Wyomin)... so no doubt licensing boards will want some explanation/documentations... etc from Kigezi to clarify/defend the situation. You may say that St. Chris is doing it, so it must be OK -- well, SC is able to defend its students with an intact administration structure (at this time), when it comes time for Kigezi students to be licensed, who are they going to turn to when the licensing boards have questions that needs to be answered from official sources? And trust me, licensing boards will have questions, even with students from more established schools. My licensing application was delayed by a week because the board had a simple question about my transcript. It was very easily resolved with an official letter from my school. But it would have been a huge issue that would have resulted in a denial of my license without an official school response. So, who will the Kigezi students turn to? Just look at how many Grace grads are licensed nowadays?

So, my advice is to start over.

Death of a college

As recently as the beginning of this week I was still getting emails from students questioning if they should stick around. Students don't want it to happen but it appears from all appearances that Kigezi is dead...

what is logical? Try and salvage what you can. I heard from one student who was supposed to graduate in december....tragic case...perhaps they can get a university to accept their 3 years and redo a year....it is terrible to see.

Lessons to be learned? know who you are spending your $150,000 with.
