Cheaper medical schools approved by California?

What are some of the cheaper medical schools approved by California and that are though in English? I'm looking for schools in Asia, Europe, or S. America that have 6 year programs which you can enter into after high school.

    Thanks

Philippino schools are cheaper and English is one of the native languages in Philippines. But you still must check the schools of your interest here, to see whether they take place in approval list or not:
Welcome to the Medical Board of California - Medical Schools Recognized by the Medical Board of California

By the respect of cost, European schools come later and you can find them in the same approval list above. But be careful: in Philippines list you wont see a note about the schools as "in English", because English is one of the native languages of Philippines. As long as its not explicitly noted that the med program is in English, then it means its in native language of that country. So for Philippines schools you dont need to see an explicit "in English" note, but for European schools, you need to see that note.

By the way not all of the English med programs in Europe are cheap or moderate, some are pretty expensive and rather useless because of their costs. Irland, Malta, Italy and Spain are those expensive or very expensive ones. One exception is HMI/Lublin, its in E-EU, but exceptionally expensive and doesnt provide you success, they base their business on weak students (not to be subject of another infraction from VMD, the definition is not "..oser", but "weak", as if it will change the reality ), just be careful.

By the respect of quality, I would suggest either a couple of schools in Philippines (one is Lady Fatima, to my knowledge its the only one which is excepted from audits for loan), and Jagiellonian in Poland.

One another point about Philippino schools: Philippino schools dont refresh their websites frequently, and you may not find the full info about all of the costs. For instance its a norm for maybe all of the Philippino schools that they get one-time fees at the beginning and at matriculation. If you consider only the tuitions, you cant see the picture as a whole. So its good to write and directly ask them and use these kind of forums to ask other current students. There are people in Asian Schoos Froum here.. let the forum work for you too, though not as much as for the schools

Oh, by the way, dont trust anybody here, the so-called students may be actually the operatives of those schools which are fed by naive prospectives' moneys. Just be very much careful, especially about the ones that give the most trustworthy impression. They are very professional in this business, just be careful.

Can you tell me more about Misr and Egyptian schools in general. What is the admission process like? And the tuition is around $6600 USD right? plus food and living around $6000 USD? I am a Muslim from America, so Egypt is a good choice for me. I also saw on CMB's list that Al-Azhar has a medical school, which is really interesting

Monis do you know Arabic or is the program in Al-Azhar in English? Sobky once said I think all med programs were in English, but I wanted to see it clearly. Their page is in Arabic

U Can't Join Al Azhar Medicine School For So May Reasons

( 1 ) You Have To Be An Azhar Student Since Primary Stage
( 2 ) The Only University In Egypt That Teaches Medicine In Arabic
    ( 3 ) As U Lived In America/Canada/Europe They Won't Accept U Either Way
( 4 ) If You Want Really Cheap Ones Then Cairo ( About 3000 US Dollars For The Whole Year But Lecture Halls Are Insane With 2000 Students Per Lecture & U Won't Understand , Yea The School Is English But When They Explain They Use Arabian Terms Unlike M.U.S.T )
( 5 ) All Of Them Are Cali Approved Except Octber 6 University So Avoid That One .
( 6 ) M.U.S.T Makes Real Doctors ( Really Hard Exams & A Very Good Way Of Teaching & University Character Is Very Strong )

If this Cairo University is the same with Al-Azhar, then its very reputable and historically well known here.

Sobky, doesnt to be a real doctor come first? If M.U.S.T. makes real doctors, isnt it a good idea to transfer there? Do you know that the non-US IMGs, or as they call, FMGs are better in their clinical practice in US, when compared to USIMGs and AMGs (thats, all of the American MDs who are grads of US or intl. schools)? I think its because they are coming rather from native programs (intl programs are appr. the same for all US/non-US). For instance we have too an excellent school, Hacettepe, you cant even compare with many schools in EU or in US. Their outcomes, generally speaking, are always great doctors and academicians.

I always vote for quality, if you have a high quality in whatever you do, in any case you see that you are demanded. But of course this is my stance, you may have another perspective.

No, I don't know Arabic. Al-Azhar is really hard for foreigners to get into and they teach in Arabic, so it's not a choice for me. Cairo University and Al-Azhar are different schools, I believe. Cairo University has a group of Malaysian students who have a separate class and lecturer, who speaks in English, and it's better for them, but it's still pretty bad. Sobky, you should transfer into M.U.S.T, as you say it's a good school, and recognized as well. I talked to bidiboom about Turkey also, but Hacettepe only has 10 seats for foreigners, and it's English program is not yet approved by CMB. Cerrahpasa is approved, but only has 6 seats. This makes it very competitive, but you should still apply.
