LMAO!!!!!

the MCAT wasn't REQUIRED at John's Hopkins (sp?) until very recently. so i guess that makes JH a pretty crappy school then?

NEWS FLASH..... more and more caric schools are requiring the MCATS.

ohh...... i loved the physics portion of the MCAT.
i went into the test and had NO IDEA that i would come out knowing how a smoke detector and fire extinguisher worked.

and yep.... if you cant grasp that smoke detector.....god... what a lousy physician you will be

re: "einstein"
hello pot? are you talking to me and not Kdog?
And if so, eh, no i didnt go to Hopkins for med school, I went there for residency (see sig). And no the MCAT wasn't pass/fail. You just get a score. Never said it wasn't required for med school. And for that matter during residency they dont ask you for your mcats (And big news here, that "permenant record" in elementry scchool? Not permenant!) Or....OH!did you mean the USMLE?? So much so wrong in one little sentence...

steph, i was talking to the original poster. i was not making light of your residency at johns hopkins. however, the mcat was not required for med school there up until a few years ago whereas in most other schools in the US and Canada it was already a requirement.

permanent record in elementary school???? huh

oops. Well so that answers your question. We're not that bright.

I dunno; i just remember the "bad" kids in elementary school being told their behaviour would go on their "permenant record". I think most of them are CEOs now.

if you cant pass the mcat, why waste daddys and mommys money, why waste your time why do medicine?

glad to see that you are open minded. medicine is too big for just one personality. yeah it requires people to memorize a lot. but in pratice, it requires people who can go beyond the books. something like half the patients dont even take their doctors advice. why? because the doctor couldnt do his job, but hell i bet he got a great MCAT score.
