Question regarding residency and licensure

For example, I can't get licensure in CA. Does it mean I can't do residency there too ?

Do I need to do residency the in state I am apply to get licensure ?

Thx for helping a high school kid here again ...

Your school must be California recognized to do a residency or be licensed in the State. In fact, your school must be recognized by any state you wish to be licensed and do a residency. No, you do not have to do the residency in the State you want to be licensed but both must recognize your school. Most states but not all; will grant you a license by reciprocity, meaning if your are licensed in one state, another state will grant you a license by virture of your original license. But if you want to do a residency and be licensed in a state you can not use that license to get a California license if your school is not recognized.
Hope this answers your question. If not PM me.

And like you....thought the post by Tarzan was interesting but failed to see the connection to your questions.
Good luck

I am studying in University of Santo Tomas, Philippines. I want to know if I'll be able to get into an internship program here in the states. Thank you.
