I have heard many stories about Ross, the most interesting one was from a graduate who posted in the Ross forum that she felt like she paid Ross over 150 thousand dollars for the privilege of taking the USMLE that she basically studied on her own during basic sciences. A family practitioner I know from Texas said something similar. That said, other students swear by it, I would say it is a 60% happy rate and a 40% unhappy rate. That is my take anyway. They also have the reputation of accepting a first year class of 300 and weed off more than half after the first 2 semesters, a real money maker. Check the Ross forum, you will find mixed messages.

So I guess that would place me at the bottom. i am just ready to get out of where I am at, but whether or Ross will even accept me I don't know. They have gotten really good with making themselves sound like Harvard and pointing out how they have a higher pass 1 rate than Harvard. What they don't tell you in the interview is that many of the students take extra time beyond a semester just to be allowed to take the boards. Ross has a shelf exam process that must be passed before taking the boards. In addition, former Ross students have waited a semester or so just to get a clinical spot for rotations and still having to pay tuition. Is there a Ross student out there willing to confirm this? Is going to ross worth the headache?
