Fifth Pathway

Please help me in my decision. I am third year medical student at DMC Ludhiana, India. I am a US citizen and finished undergraduate (pre-med) from UCLA. I am sure transferring to a US medical college is impossible but I have heard about Fifth Pathway after 4 or 4 1/2 years of medical school. Is it worth pursuing that or should I just finish my MBBS from India.

I would look through Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara (UAG) forum. Many of the students there have the same concerns about Fifth Pathway and you may find the information that you are looking for.

Why are you so confident you would not be accepted to a US school?

FYI
You can search programs that have openings and accept transfers for various reasons at this link:

Wow, this seems encouraging... I see that at least some students manage to transfer! The website is a bit hard to navigate (are multiple policy selections AND or OR?), but better than nothing

if you go into medical school thinking that you will transfer out and go to a better school, then you have failed before you have even started. Truth is, doesn't matter where you graduated from, OF COURSE graduating from a US med school makes you much more competitive in the match.
However, you have sit down and focus and evaluate what you want out of your medical education. It is extremely difficult, if not impossible to transfer into a US med school from an international med school.
That being said, does that assure that US grads and med students are extremely superior to IMGs, of course not.
