Be careful.

You get what you pay for.

For example, SGU's tuition is higher than other Carib schools but their campus would rival those in the US.
Click on campus tour.
St. George’s University - Caribbean Medical & Veterinary School

Among other things, your money gets you
SGU's exclusive contracts with US hospitals (the last one totalling 100 million over 10 years) compared to some Carib schools that have insufficiant clinical spots to accomodate large classes.

All the best with your choice.

I wish I could pay that money to go to a school like that.
But I cant, because I have to calculate Pre-Med program too into the total cost. 3 years program in St. George!

I can finish the Pre-Med (90 credits) in some other univs after 1 year and 3 months. Anyway, we will see what happends. First thing is to pass pre-med anyway, right?

Just remember, if you don't complete your education in a European school, you could have licensure issues. There are some Caribbean schools that will accept you with just the courses you have now, but licensing in the future in the US could get difficult. Most states require 60-90 credits of undergraduate coursework to be licensed. This has to be from an accredited undergraduate institution.

None of the Caribbean med schools are not real universities with a body overseeing their undergraduate pre-med courses (maybe exlcuding St George's since they have a deal with some local CC on the island). Your credits from a European university would be totally valid, but if you only studied for one year, there's no way you have 60 or 90 credits. Even if you were to do the 1 year of pre-med in the Caribbean, those credits are pretty much worthless come licensure time. I'd really avoid going to the Caribbean unless you've already done 3 years of college in the US/Canada/abroad.

First thing you should do is get all of your transcripts evaluated by a credential evaluation service such as World Education Service or similar to convert all of your credit and grades to the US system. Most schools (and licensing agencies) will want this in any case. Be sure to request a "course-by-course" evaluation. Education Credential Evaluators is a good one also.

Are those 90 credits in a high school or in a university? Although Scandinavian high school education is far superior to US high school education, they are still not going to consider the work you did in high school as part of the 90 credits. This is, of course, unless you can get those evaluated and deemed undergraduate courses by some official service (as Tipton posted above).
