Bad things happen; anyone got some advice?

I was enrolled in an american medical school and got kicked out after maginally passing one 4th year rotation and then failing another.

I've passed step 1 with a 217, Step 2 CK with a 229, and i passed step 2 CS.

Is there a foreign school which will admit me with advanced standing so I can graduate and come back to the USA for residency?

thats nuts dude, you should find a lawyer and try and sue that school. That just sucks, you are done with usmle steps, there is probably no international med school that will help you with your situation, try SGU and Ross. Go for a lawyer first. Arent fourth year rotations mainly electives anyways? I will bet you that SGU or Ross will pick you up just to pad their stats as someone who matched into a good program. You do have good stats.

SGU will not take transfer students in with advanced standing.

there is probably a lot we are not being told- i seriously doubt any school would kick someone out if the 1st bad thing was a failed 4th year elective. I know people who failed a couple of 1st year classes and were recommended to repeat the 1st year, same with someoone who failed a couple of 2nd year class- repeat 2nd year. People have had to repeat 3rd year cores because the failed and i know someone who has taken stepI at least 4 times and hasan't been kicked out. I even know someone who was kicked out of one US school for cheating and was accepted to finish at a different school (though he did have some connections). All were US students, so I would think there are options for this student within the US.

Tall tales on VMD

I agree with rokshana - stephew pretty much has it right always - If a person got zapped and that stage of training - You need to find a school that will touch you with an 11 foot pole. Yes , they are out there - In the time I have been on VMD - have seen all sorts of people/stories and general tall tales from people who don't own up to their own mess. Don't stay in denial of the situation. Many People - don't have clean nice stright lives. Jees, I know I am one of them.

My advice - own it - do some work on your "bad self" that got you there and then move forward with your life in what ever direction it takes you.

Already got a lawyer, lawsuit is filed.

I had to repeat my first year for bad grades, and during my 4th year I had a marginal pass in december, then a fail in may.

all my other grades were good. no cheating.

sooooo, yes, i am working on myself. The question still stands, are there any reputable foreign schools that take students advanced standing?

wait...may? so had you already matched? I'm sorry, gotta ask (you did put it out there) HOW did you fail a 4th year elective in May??
Good to hear no cheating though!!
yes, there are schools that will give you transfer credit- though I would imagine you would have to do the clinical years over. Like steph said - sgu won't take transfers- you would have to start over at sgu and then you would probably have time issues with step completion for licensing- better to find one that will allow for transfer so you don't have to take a step (I) over.
Ross takes into the 5th semester I believe, not sure about AUCs policies or SABAs, but i would check into those schools 1st- they are amongst the oldest, with the most graduates and residents and practicing docs- AUC and Ross also get staffords and grad plus loans, so if you haven't met your aggregate, they can offset some of the cost.
Again, you should see if there is anything you can do to get back to your old school (squeaky wheels you know...) or try to see if there is a US school that would take you...that could be harder without connections, but if you have them....)

Good luck - hope things work out.

if this story is for real, count yourself lucky. Remember, on one is owed an MD degree.

At AUC, we always say, worst case senario, there is always Saint Theresa's. I am sure they can use some grads for credibility.
