I'm curious as to how you failed a rotation. Did you mean to say you failed the shelf exam at the end of the rotation? And was the rotation surgery or ob/gyn by any chance? because those 2 are harrrrrrrrd.

I'm a med school flunkie myself so I'm not bashing you. I didn't apply for advanced standing though cuz I have truly forgotten everything I learned M1 year. I was only an M1 though and I had already decelled. Ross will probably take you as long as you are sincere and legit and your application essay is flawless. Just be honest like I was and you'll be fine. You will prolly have to repeat 5th sem/clinicals though. Dunno about SGU?? they are harder to get in, but you can call them and ask, it doesn't hurt to apply and drop a couple $75 for an application when you are a $quarter million in debt from 4 years of a us med school anyway. The worst they can say is no, right? Give it a try. Don't walk away now when you're only a few weeks away from your MD.

I've passed step 1 with a 217, Step 2 CK with a 229, and i passed step 2 CS.

Since you have a lawyer, see what he/she says.

If you can't repair the damage that has already been inflicted in the US, then come to the Caribbean.

Take an afternoon and call up all the admissions offices at SGU, AUC, Ross, and SABA... see what they say (like others have said, the worst they can say is no).

but there is a happy ending to this guy's story- evidently he was able to get into Windsor and matched into neurology at the Univ of Mississippi.
